I'm hard pressed to find lasting clean fragrances, but Tata Harper's line of "aromatic treatments" fit the bill. They all last through a 9-5, and are refreshingly unique. Her Love Potion has been a repeat buy for me, I can't get enough of its lady-like, violet scent.
But this trio was her first foray into fragrance, and they're all really good:
- The Stress Treatment has a piercingly green, herbal scent (think geranium and lemongrass). A dab on the forearms and pulse points elevates a yoga session to a supremely indulgent aromatherapy experience.
- The Irritability Treatment acts more like a complex perfume. It's most similar to the Love Potion, with warm woods, powdery notes and a mellow spicy heart. This one, (unlike the Love Potion), however, reads unisex. I wear it in the morning to ward off an encroaching bad attitude particularly when I've slept in, my house is a mess, I can't find any clean socks, my daughter hid my cellphone and I'm running late to work. Upon first whiff, I swear I feel better about everything. If you're not sure which to start with, I recommend this one.
- The Bedtime Treatment is incredibly relaxing and comforting, with milky notes of chamomile and muted lavender. This one I wore it while in labor at the hospital, and the scent lingered for hours. The nurses kept complimenting me on it whenever they walked into the room even the next day, and now months later, my olfactory memory bank has the sweetest associations with this fragrance.
